Advent-ure

It being December, wee children are enjoying the tradition of getting up, racing their brother or sister to the advent calendar, ripping open the cardboard door and forcing that sugary goodness down their neck, giving them the energy to fight off their resentful, slower, loser sibling.

Surely some confectioner is missing a trick here. Why not have a two month advent calendar? Counting down November and December. There’s something just so jolly about the first act of the day being the opening of a little cardboard door and the extraction of a small square of chocolate. Makes it worth getting up.
