King Kong on DVD
That's three hours of my life I'll never get back.
The monkey was no way big wnough. The 1935 original had way more charm and the 1975 remake was way more exciting. Best bit was going to the island. Also liked that the natives were degenerate but apart from that, so-so. Good to see Billy Eliot playing a rough seaman - this meant that I could shout 'tap dance your way out of that one' every so often.
Yes, yes, I know it was ballet.

You forgot to mention the fact that not one single person seemed to think it was even a bit weird that there were dinosaurs on that island. Yeah, so a big gorilla is weird, but I'd also be a little shocked at the prehistoric animals chasing me around.
At least you watched it on DVD...the theater is no place for this type of boredom. I also thought that in the 1935 version the girl was actually terrified of the big ape as opposed to lusting after it the way the girl did in this one. The big gorilla was the most believable thing in the whole movie.
and just for the record, i think I'm starting to go nuts again. Now that I'm not busy, I have to wonder why my phone isn't ringing off the hook....well, other people have called.
